Hello, I'm
Robert Soeting
IT Architect
Designing resilient, scalable systems at the intersection of
infrastructure, cloud-native technology, and innovation.
Passionate about technology
I'm an IT professional with a broad and deep interest in modern infrastructure and technology. From bare-metal Linux systems to cloud-native container orchestration, I enjoy understanding how things work at every layer of the stack.
As an IT Architect, I work on translating complex business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions. Outside of work, I'm constantly exploring new technologies and running a self-hosted homelab.

Technology stack
Infrastructure & OS
Linux administration, system architecture, storage design, and virtualisation platforms.
Cloud Native
Container orchestration, microservices architecture, and cloud-native design patterns.
AI & Automation
Exploring modern AI tooling, LLMs, and infrastructure automation to improve efficiency.
Programming
Writing tools, scripts, and applications to solve real infrastructure and operations challenges.
Architecture
Translating business needs into robust technical architectures that scale and stand the test of time.
Self-Hosting
Running a personal homelab with self-hosted services, GitLab, monitoring, and more.
Things I've built
Vertix
Centralized management platform for remote Linux agents. The Core runs as a Docker container providing a web UI and REST API. Agents run as systemd services and communicate via outbound HTTPS polling β no inbound firewall rules required.
VulnTrack
On-premises vulnerability management dashboard that ingests Nessus scan reports and enriches every CVE with CISA KEV, EPSS exploit probability, and NVD data. Tracks risk changes across scans over time β fully air-gapped, no data leaves your network.
Vorlen
Self-hosted multi-tenant infrastructure orchestration platform. Deploy cloud infrastructure via Terraform and Ansible through a self-service portal, with plan β approval β apply workflows, Day 2 runbooks, and a full audit log.
Vorlen AIOps
CPU-only LLM-backed ops orchestrator for Linux server fleets. Receives alerts from Alertmanager, reasons over them using a local Ollama model, and triggers Ansible remediation playbooks automatically. Designed for air-gapped environments.
